A mid-Victorian, stone-built house of great charm and character, Carlton has been the much-loved home of the Rennie family for over 50 years. Standing in a prime location on the Ayrshire coast, the house enjoys spectacular, uninterrupted views to Arran and the Firth of Clyde, one of the loveliest stretches of scenery in the West of Scotland.
The Rennie family now offer a bespoke Bed & Breakfast service for their discerning guests, providing traditional Scottish hospitality and 'the personal touch'. Elegant, charming and hospitable, Carlton is the ideal place to stay during your visit to Scotland.

| Carlton can accommodate a maximum of six adult B & B guests. Its three guest-bedrooms - two doubles and a twin - are all on the first floor, immediately beside the shared bathroom. The rooms aim to offer Victorian charm and architectural heritage, rather than 21st-century modernity.

Each bedroom is provided with TV, DVD, free Wi-fi & radio plus hospitality trays and mini-fridges. A wide range of travel-books, novels and magazines is always available in the bedrooms. Please see our website for full details including current rates.
Tea and coffee, shortbread and biscuits are served in the Sitting Room, whenever guests wish. In fine weather, guests may choose to take tea, coffee, etc al fresco, in the Rose Garden. Sipping an al fresco glass of wine, on a beautiful summer’s evening, as you watch a fabulous sunset over the Firth of Clyde, is an unforgettable experience. You can also just walk out of our front gate and find yourself strolling on Seamill shore and the beach (admiring a glorious sunset or the spectacular view.) Don’t miss it!
