15th May Film & Music Brig O'Doon Hotel, Ayr
As part of Karma events, and to coincide with the Burns an a' that Festival in Ayr, we are showing a film, "Ghosts of Ayrshire" dating back to stories like Tam O'Shanter. It is being shown at the Brig O'Doon Hotel (the bridge in which Tam ran away from the ghosts). After the film there will be two live acoustic acts, playing folky Scottish songs. The acts are Frank Hewitt, singer of the Raggle Taggle Gypsies, and Chris Coyle. Tickets are £7.50 and will be available through www.tickets-scotland.com

14th June Summer Gala Loans Village
Loans Gala Committee hold their annual Summer Gala, commencing 1.00 pm, on the village playing fields. 1st Troon BB Pipe Band will open the event by leading a fancy dress parade through the village, and will play a medley of tunes during the afternoon. Glasgow Taxi Drivers Outing For Sick Children. Over the past 61 years, thousands of taxi drivers have donated their time and effort to make the "Outing Fund" the annual success that it is.
