An elegant 18th century former manse set in a secluded location in the village of Dundonald, only a ten minute drive from the centre of Troon. The house is located just off the main street in the village but is surrounded by woodland and open fields and is peaceful and secluded - the perfect place to unwind and be cosseted.
There is a nearby pub serving bar meals and there are several good quality restaurants in the local area which can be reached easily by car.
Glasgow is only 40 minutes away by car and Prestwick Airport only about 10 minutes. Nearby Dundonald Castlecan be seen from the drawing room and all the bedrooms.
We have 1 double room en-suite and 2 twin rooms with private bathroom. All rooms are comfortable and cosy, with fine linens and towels, and toiletries by Arran Aromatics.
You can relax with afternoon tea and home baking served in the upstairs drawing room which has magnificent views of the castle and surrounding woodland and fields. The castle is worth a visit and open from 10am till 5pm
A full, cooked Scottish breakfast is served in our dining room. Specialties include: Compote of fruit marinated in green tea, honey, and vanilla Sheila's spiced plums Home made scones and oatcakes Home made jams jellies and marmalade Eggs from Mareas hens - the girls lay a plentiful supply of beautiful eggs - lovely scrambled with smoked salmon!
