Maritime Connection has had years of experience of both Self Sail and Skippered yacht charter and have a magnificent fleet of modern yachts. Long experience has proven that the average charterer prefers a well equipped, comfortable yacht with a good performance under sail backed up by a reliable engine. All yachts are registered with the Department of Transport and comply fully with the code of practice for small commercial sailing vessels. All yachts are available with Skipper or Instructor if required. |

Skippered Charter
All our yachts are available with skipper if required. This allows the charterer to choose the itinerary or, using our vast experience of the west coast of Scotland, Maritime Connection will suggest a fantastic itinerary that will make the best of the forecast weather. Let us know the dates you require and leave the rest to us.
Our yachts include a Sigma 36, Bowman 40, Bavaria 39 and Ruffian 23. Our Bowman 40 is only available for skippered charter. |
Self Sail or Bareboat Charter
We have a fleet of yachts ranging in size from 23 to 41 feet, suitable for parties from 2 to 8 persons. The most popular charter period is one week which is an ideal length of time to explore the sheltered anchorages and islands which make the Firth of Clyde a sailor's paradise.

Bowman 40
Saro's Gyda is a class apart from other yachts of similar size. It is designed for the open sea, a classic blue water cruising yacht that is strong and sea-kindly, with a quality of construction that inspires confidence in even the roughest conditions. She has a sparkling performance under sail and is easily handled by two people. She is extremely well equipped and offers luxury accommodation for up to 8 people. |

Weekend Cruises
A chance to discover if sailing is for you. These inexpensive weekends consist of two days and one night afloat. On these short cruises you can visit some of the most beautiful sea lochs in the Firth of Clyde, with every possibility of stopping off for some refreshments at a favourite waterside hostelry. You can either join in and help sail the yacht or else just sit back, unwind and marvel at the wonderful scenery - the choice is entirely yours. |

The Ruffian is a dream to handle and offers sparkling performance in all conditions. The key to her enduring success is her wide beam, excellent underwater shape and extremely powerful and well-balanced high aspect ratio sail plan. The sporty deck and coachroof and the gently rising sheerline all add a touch of classic elegance seldom found on small yachts. |
