The minutes of the committee meeting
The meeting was held on 21st of January, 2010 at 10.30am in Ivy Cottage. All members of the reunion committee were present.
Friday, 6th August 2010
Betty (Young) Longmuir reported that 5 people have signed up for the golf and she is the 6th. Golfers - please contact Betty at BobBettyLongmuir@aol.com to sign up. The golf was great fun at the last Reunion and we'd love to see more participation.
A Haggis tea was proposed for Friday in Ivy Cottage at 5.00pm.
Friday evening - The Club, Shore road.
Saturday, 7th August 2010
Daytime activities - We are preparing a list of things available for participants to enjoy before attending the reunion at night, e.g., Ayr Flower Show, Dundonald Games, etc.
Catering - Babs (Wells) Henderson reported that she had visited Truly Scrumptious and they allowed £6.00 per head with an approximate cost of £1,225.00. They catered the reunion in 2005 and the food was excellent. A vote was taken and all were in favour.
Band - We are still searching for the right band.
Venue (7:30 pm to 11:30 pm) - The Walker Hall, Bar area, Kitchen and Reception room are all booked from 3.00pm until 12.00 midnight to allow for set up and clean up time. We have requested chairs but no tables.
Banner and tickets - These are being contributed by Derek Hodgson derekhodgson@btinternet.com
Raffle - Ann (McKay) Cameron cameron@wightcablenorth.net is handling the raffle and is seeking donations locally.
Sunday, 8th August
Bus trip to Glasgow, 1:30 pm - Cathy (Crabbe) Morrison has 12 signed up but is expecting more. You can sign up by sending an email to Cathy at murdo385@btinternet.com Cost: £8.50. Fish suppers for those who want them will be waiting at Ivy Cottage when the bus returns (nice and fresh as they'll be ordered from the Pavilion while en route to the Ivy Cottage).
Monday, 9th August
Supervised walk - In the morning (exact time to be determined), hosted by Dougie Graham dougieandkate@hotmail.co.uk
Trip on the Waverly (Ayr) - In the afternoon. We discussed making a block booking. 15 people have signed up so far, cost: £20.00 per person. Please contact Betty (Connell) Mill betty_mill@hotmail.com to sign up.
Tuesday, 10th August
Farewell Coffee Morning at the Church of the Nazarene from 10.00 - 12.00 lunchtime; provided by the lovely ladies of the church. No charge but donations welcome.

April 29th (Thursday) at 10.30am in Ivy Cottage.
