Piersland House Hotel

As you would expect of a long standing hotel in Troon, Piersland House Hotel is set in lovely landscaped grounds and has been at the forefront of providing hospitality and accommodation to local residents and visitors alike for nearly 50 years. The original Piersland Lodge was built in 1899 by the renowned Scottish architect William Leiper, as the home for Sir Alexander Walker, grandson of Johnnie Walker, founder of the Scotch whisky firm Johnnie Walker. Sir Alexander was Managing Director of Johnnie Walker whisky and created Johnnie Walker Red and Black label.

Keeping to the whisky theme, each bedroom is based on a malt whisky distillery or family. All bedrooms have been fully updated while ensuring their original charm remains. Each room has full facilities and a room service menu is available.

A magnificent oak panelled restaurant that is one of Troon's best, this is wonderful room that appeals to resident diners and locals alike. It is an ideal venue for special occasions and celebrations as well as intimate dinners for two.

The hotel's terrace is wonderful for alfresco eating during the summer and the hotel is also a fine hotel wedding venue. There are offers and special packages for Weekend Breaks and Golf Breaks.

The hotel, which is located opposite the Royal Troon Golf Course, world renowned location of the British Open Golf Championship, remained a family home until 1956 and is still retains the original country house character.
