| WHERE IS "SHELLDUN"? "Shelldun" is a large detached corner bungalow situated to the north of Troon in a quiet residential area, only 100 yards from Barassie Beach with its views over the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran, some 15 miles offshore. It is conveniently located for all road, rail, air and sea links to the West Coast of Scotland and the many golf courses and places of interest that the area has to offer the visitor. |

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT "SHELLDUN" Our home was named after our 2 Labradors Shelley & Duncan, who are sadly no longer with us. The resident Labrador now in charge is called "Rosie" - click here for photograph. "Shelldun" is a light, bright and spacious, all on the level bungalow and tranquil family home. It is furnished and maintained to Linda's high standards throughout and fully centrally heated. The large, tiled entrance vestibule provides a safe storage facility for such items as golf clubs and wheelchairs. The carpeted main hall divides the property by design, providing a private home for Linda and Malcolm to the right and the private Suite for guests, to the left. |
| WHAT
IS THE "SHELLDUN SUITE"? The Shelldun Suite is a unique, private, self-contained accommodation for one group of family, friends or colleagues. The 2 twin and one single bedroom offer flexibility of usage from a minimum of 2 people to a maximum of 5 sharing the Suite. Please be assured that you will have sole occupancy of the Suite, whatever the size of your party and will, therefore, NOT share the Suite with strangers. | The Suite comprises a large lounge, 2 twin bedrooms and one single bedrrom and bathroom. Each bedroom is comfortably furnished with Linda's attention to detail, including such useful items as bathrobes, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, hot water bottle, torch and tissues. | |

| The fully tiled bathroom, with electric underfloor heating, has a corner bath with electric shower. The lounge is light and airy with TV, Hi-fi, video and DVD. There is a "kettle corner" with a wide selection of beverages and Linda's home baked all-butter shortbread. French doors open from the lounge onto a pretty patio within the secluded and sheltered walled garden. Guests are welcome to enjoy the garden. The private self-contained Suite offers a unique bed & breakfast experience. |

The Suite is for the exclusive use of up to 2 - 5 adult guests who seek a little peace, privacy and quality, with the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of being very much at home. ALL THINGS CULINARY Breakfasts and evening meals are served in the conservatory where guests can enjoy the garden. Linda loves cooking and takes pride in serving freshly prepared food to order. Produce is organic, free range and from local farms or suppliers when possible. Only the highest quality ingredients find their way into Linda's kitchen! You will find Linda's home baked all-butter shortbread on arrival. Snacks and picnic lunches along with evening meals are available with prior notice. Special diets can be catered for with notice. |

OTHER BITS OF INFORMATION YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW Wheelchair hire available from the Local Hospital £15.00
per week, or £5.00 per day. There is a strict no smoking policy at "Shelldun". We apologise, but we do not have facilities to accommodate babies/toddlers or pets. Free off-road parking. Arrival times 3pm - 5pm unless pre-arranged at booking. Payment can be made only by personal cheque or cash in £sterling as we are too small to be able to offer credit card facilities. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

DIRECTIONS From the A78 between Troon and Irvine, take the B746 signposted for "Barassie" and the car ferry. When you arrive at Barassie shore, turn right into Beach Road. Take the 2nd right into Arran Road. "Shelldun" is the 2nd bungalow on your right (or immediately after the red post box). The entrance is in Arran Road. Park inside the wrought iron gates in front of the "Guest Parking" sign.  |
