We are the largest voluntary organisation for young men in the world. We have thousands of members who meet up every couple of weeks around the UK to have fun and get involved in their local communities.
The aims of the Society are to primarily offer as many people in the local community the chance to garden in the fresh air, enjoying growing & eating seasonal food, whilst also offering the opportunity to gain the benefits of physical exercise and developing a good sense of “community spirit”.
The Girls' Brigade in Scotland is an autonomous member of a worldwide organisation for girls and young women operating for 120 years so far. We are an organisation who works within a framework of Christian principles but are open to girls of all faiths or none.
We offer access to rugby for players and supporters from Mini through Youth & Schools to Senior rugby for the communities of Troon, Prestwick and surrounding villages, as well as providing coaching and support to school rugby at Marr College.
Ayrshire's premier running club. The club meets every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:00pm in the Marr College gyms during term time. Outside term time we still meet up either outside Mar College gyms or in the car park by Walker Hall at the seafront.
The Society is run by volunteers who share an interest in family history. It is one of the smaller societies in Scotland but has the reputation of being very active, and our monthly meetings which are held from September till June are well attended.
The club was formed in 1989 with the first game of ‘Les Boules' played in Troon in January of that year. The Club now has its home at Fullarton Woods and is an affiliated member of the Scottish Pétanque Association.
Troon Cruising Club which is situated on the South East side of the inner basin of Troon Harbour which we share with Troon Yacht Haven. The Club provides around 120 moorings to members for sailing and pleasure craft up to 36 feet in length.
Founded in 1991 Troon Basketball Club quickly established itself as a Scottish Basketball power house. Originally based on Marr College school teams the club now boasts a player pool from all over Ayrshire and the West of Scotland.
The Troon Town-Twinning Association organizes town-twinning group visits to Villeneuve approximately every two years. They also organize the reception of the French town-twinners in Troon at roughly the same intervals.
The Royal British Legion Scotland help ex-services men and women of all ages across Scotland to adapt to civilian life by providing community, friendship and practical advice, whether they left military service yesterday or 50 plus years ago.
